I count slowly

“I count slowly, slowly, slowly getting faster.” (The Count)

Counting might look easy, but it is hard. There is no “secret recipe” for counting, and you’re not going to learn it by watching someone else do it. With practice and patience, you’ll get better and better at it, and you’ll enjoy it more and more.

You should keep this in mind.

  1. By the way, here’s a frivolous extra credit problem.
Listening to the Song of the Count today, I like it even more than when I was a kid. It could be said that (among other things) I count for a living now. But it’s driving me crazy that I can’t remember or imagine how the Spanish lyrics fit (“cuento lentamente, luego más de prisa”) into this rhythm.
For extra credit: Can someone find video or audio of the Song of the Count in Spanish? (The name is “Conde Contar” in Latin America and “Conde Draco” in Spain.)
